Aisyah wins in the battle against Pneumoniae.Alhamdulillah.

Saya belum pernah cerita kisah Aisyah sewaktu kena pneumonia.Sekarang saya nak cerita..(perkataan meningitis, pneumonia dan phenergen yang ada warna tu bole click untuk maklumat lanjut)

Berlaku ketika Aisyah berusia sekitar 28 hari.Dia batuk dan selsema.saya panik coz sangat muda lagi Aisyah waktu tu.
Pergi jumpa doctor, katanya Aisyah kena acute bronchitis.Doctor (PAED) bagi antibioik dan ubat batuk dan ubat demam juga.
Saya yang bo*** waktu tu, dalam hati trdetik juga (instinct seorg ibu) "" tak ke ubat batuk ni org tua pun tak elok makan, ni bagi baby pulak.."" tapi pertanyaan tu tersimpan je dalam hati memandankan PAED tu ialah PAED yang popular di Bangi.So saya percayalah, takkan PAED y reputable buat silap bagi ubat.

Saya bagi ubat tu (phenergen) dengan taat ikut aturan.Mula2 tengok Aisyah asik tidur.
Pastu dengar memang kurang batuk dia tapi dengar bunyi nafas mcm terpendam kahak kat dalam dada..bunyi geruh kuat.Tapi still continue ubat yang PAED prescribe.
Sampai hari ke3, Aisyah tak bangun selama 6 jam, straight tak bagun even untuk menyusu.Masa saya check tengok2 macam tak bernafas,
panic lah sgt2..sy angkat Aisyah dan tungingkan badan dia dan tepuk, baru dengar dia batuk dan tercampak keluar seketul phlegm (kahak kaler greeninsh) saya tahu dah ada infection.So kami rush to hospital.Dalam perjalanan tu sekali lagi dia stop bernafas dan saya buat cara sama tungggingkan dan tepuk dan keluar lagi seketul phlegm hijau.

Sampai hospital serdang, terus Aisyah kena masuk unit merah, check SpO2 level dia 86%..sangat rendah kerana level yg paling rendah untuk bayi dan manusia sihat ialah 95%.
So terus buat semua routine treatment..saya menangis2 tak sanggup tengok anak kecil camtu kena sedut kahak kat throat n nose..pastu nampak ada darah sebab throat Aisyah luka kena tiub tu..saya rasa tak dapat nak gambarkan macam mana perasaan saya.

Pastu memang kena tahan ward, kat unit rawatan rapi (bukan ICU) di wad 5A Hospital Serdang.Kalu pernah admit situ tentu tau kat situ ada unit rawatan rapi d mana betul2 terletak kat depab meja doctor dan hanya pesakit2 kritikal kat situ.Salah sorg yang ada kat situ ialah pesakit meningitis berumur 12 tahun.Doctor on duty terus call PAED in charge, masa tu terus PAED tu datan rasanya dari rumah sebab pakaiana sempoi dgn kasut crocs.Paed tu tanya mcm2 dan dah mcm interrogation session je kat situ.

Barulah saya tau yang PAED sebelum ni dah salah sebab bagi ubat batuk sebab sebenarnya ubat batuk dah diharamkan dari diberi kepada bayi/kanak2 berusia bawa 5 tahun.Ubat batuk tu menyebabkan bay berhenti batuk dan berhenti dari mengeluarkan bendasing dari saluran pernafasan.Bila tak keluar, bendasing tu (kahak) menjadi medium pembiakan bacteria maka akhirnya develop macam2 jankitan.Bronchitis ialah yg paling common tapi apa yang lebih bahaya ialah pneumonia yang boleh membawa kepada meningitis.Sebab tu Aisyah terhenti nafas sebab kahak dalam saluran nafas dah banyak dan terkumpul dan sekat saluran nafas.Batuk tu hikmahnya sama seperti bersin, poo poo, urine, peluh..semua untuk membuang bahan tak digunakan/bahaya dalam tubuh.

Punca kenapa Aisyah boleh dapat batuk tu ialah sebab dia selalu tersedak susu ketika saya menyusukan dia, dari batuk tu dia dvelop kahak dan sbab salah ubat, maka kahak tu tersimpan dan kena jangkitan.
saya nasihatkan ibu2 BF tolong belajar cara memegang bayi dengan betul semasa BF,untuk elakkan jadi macam saya.Ingat lah bila anda BF risiko tersdak adalah jauh lebih rendah dari org yang menyusu botol sebab aliran susu dari payudara adalah menurut hisapan bayi manakalan aliran dari botol ialah menurut tekanan udara dari dalam botol.Bayo susu botol/FM menghadapi risiko tersedak yang amat tinggi.

Hari ketiga lepas culture sample darah dan kahak, dapat result yg Aisyah kena pneumonia.PAED sbelum ni pun mmg dah suspect pneumonia.So berkampunglah kami kat hospital.Beganti wayar, jarum kat tanan, sedut kahak, antibiotik tu sume routine Aisyah .Saya berpantang di hospital.Aisyah sentiasa on O2 (oxygen) dan antibiotic dan nebuliser.

Kisah hari ini

On 8 April 2009 (Rabu) , pada ptg tiba2 anak saya Aisyah demam, suhu 39 celcius dan selsema mengalir tak henti.tak tau nape, tiba2 je,saya takut hal lama kembali..NAUZUBILLAH MINZALIK.So sementara nak tungu husband balik utk ke paed, saya bagi 1/2 packet UMI, kemudian anakku tidur semula sampai malam pukul11 mlm dia bangun tu dah sihat dan hingus pun kering..aihh kalu cakap camni tentu org pikir mcm susah nak caye..abis saya pun susah nak pecaya cari mana pergi hingus anakku tapi tak jumpa tungu sepanjang malam untuk standby badan dia panas semula untuk standby nak sponging tapi takda juga demamnya datang balik...sampai la hari ni 10 April dah 24 jam tunggu adakah Aisyah akan demam balik tapi alhamdulillah memang takda demam dah.

Investigation into Supplement Contamination Levels in the US Market

The Concern
Between 2000 and 2002 a study was undertaken by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Germany to investigate claims that many supplement products available could contain banned substances that were not declared on the label. Such steroid contaminants are considered prohibited by sports regulatory authorities, and professional sports people are banned from using these substances. If consumed by professional sports people, such contaminants could result in them failing a drug test.

Of the 634 supplement products bought from 13 different countries, almost 15% of the products tested contained steroids and pro-hormones that were not declared on the label. For products bought in the US, 18.8% were contaminated.

Four years after these alarming findings, tests were again conducted to see if matters had improved. 58 supplement samples were purchased from popular retail outlets and internet sites in the US and sent for banned substance screening. This time, approximately one quarter (25%) of the samples analyzed showed the presence of steroid and/or stimulant contamination that were not declared on the label – an alarming increase of 10%!

The Conclusion

There's an interesting study from Spain on the Swine Flu situation.
